Ordering

You can order from Holland House Candles®, Inc. in a variety of ways:

Ordering On-Line

Our on-line ordering system was purposefully designed to make your shopping experience fast, easy and secure. All orders go through a secure server, so you don’t need to worry about your credit card numbers. All order information is kept private, and WILL NOT EVER be given to other companies, EVER.  Once your order is placed on our secure website, it will move through the following statuses:  ON HOLD – Your order has been successfully placed, and is awaiting processing.  It may remain “On Hold” for a day or two or a week or two (like at Christmas time), depending on how many orders have been placed ahead of yours.  PROCESSING – your credit card is charged and your candle(s) are being made.  COMPLETED – your order has been shipped, and you can expect to receive an email from UPS with a link to your tracking information.  You will get an email update from us at each stage of your order’s progression.  The email update will be sent to the email address you provide for your order, so please make sure you give us a correct email address!

Ordering by Phone

If you would like to order a personalized candle, or a custom colored candle, feel free to call us.  We can be reached at 1-800-238-8467.  We’ll be happy to help you, make suggestions, or take your order if the candle you want is not offered on our website. Please make your calls between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST Monday – Saturday, or leave a message and we will call you back. (If we do not pick up the phone during business hours, we are probably in the middle of carving a candle or helping another customer, so leave your number and we will call you back.) We do not return international calls. If you are calling from outside the US, please call us during business hours  at 616-393-8980 or email us if you have questions prior to ordering online at [email protected]  If we take your order over the phone, we will be asking:  what style candle you would like (ie. Dutch Garden, Wedding, etc.), what size candle you would like (small, medium or large), if you would like the pre-drilled well option and if you would like to order an LED kit with your candle.  If you are ordering a personalized candle, we will need to know if you would like custom printing, and if so would you like a Plaque or Inlay format and what type-style and text color you would like.  Examples of these can be found at the bottom of the Personalize page of our website.  Please have these things decided before calling us with your order.  We can discuss your color options with you if you are unsure of what you would like, but the other options should be decided upon before you order.

Lead Time

Lead time varies according to how many orders are currently being processed. We will not sacrifice quality for quantity so please give us time to get your candle made. As a general rule, candles are shipped within one to fourteen days after being ordered. (Personalized candles take longer – usually 2-4 weeks.) Please notify us if “Rush” delivery or arrival by a specific date is needed (in Customer Notes box) and we will do our best to accommodate. You can also order candles to be held and shipped at a later date. This option is often used for gift-giving occasions such as a Birthday, Anniversary or Christmas. Payment is made at time of order placement. Please order early for Christmas! 

*Please note – we may take a hiatus during the months of January, February and/or March.  Candles ordered during these months may not ship until April.  We would add a bold notice to our homepage informing you of this should we decide to take a break.

Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. You can use a credit card to order online using our secure site, or phone us at (800) 238-8467 to place your order over the phone.

Sales Tax

Michigan residents will be charged 6% sales tax. No other states will be charged.
